In nine months, Mercedes-Benz Vans has increased sales of electric delivery vans by a third compared to the same period last year.
If we talk about light delivery vehicles of all types, then in the third quarter, 99,700 units were sold worldwide, of which 3,300 units were sold. on electric power. All this is 4% higher than the results of the reporting quarter last year. Moreover, in the European market, the growth was 6% and reached 60,800 units.
Sales in the private sector performed particularly well, climbing 32% to 17,200 units. The mid-size van segment (V-Class models and the EQV electric minivan) saw a 21% increase to 15,700 units. As for the compact vans (Citan and the newest T-Class, available since the summer), here too the models have taken off with a bang. So, Citan sold in the amount of 3300 units. (+31%), and T-Class – 1500 units.
In absolute terms, the sales leader is the Sprinter model – 52,200 units, which, however, is 8% less than last year. There is still a high demand for campers – models of the Marco Polo family.
